ABOUT

Physiotherapist (MPT, CAFCI)

Kirsty has been working as a physiotherapist for over 10 years, and prior to that, she worked as a personal trainer for nearly  8 years, which gave her a very solid foundation on which to build her physiotherapy practice on. She lived in Vancouver for 3 years post-grad, worked in various clinical settings, and then moved to Rossland BC where she currently resides. Kirsty has been operating her own business, “Kirsty Exner Physiotherapy” for the past 4 years.

She has taken post-graduate courses in ACFI Acupuncture, myofascial release, Bobath, NOI Neural Mobility, Diane Lee “Integrated Systems”; Bahram Jam Thoracic Spine and Pelvis; Visceral Manipulation, and others. Her treatments are thorough and she strives to help her clients be the best they can be.

Kirsty grew up skiing at Red Mountain and has been involved in the ski industry for over 20 years, and competed on the World Freeride Tour for 4 years, earning many podium finishes including two silver medals at the Worlds in Alaska. After a  major crash leading to a big injury, she then judged a few subsequent freeride competitions and started up her own Women’s Freeride Camps at Red Mountain that she hosted and coached for 10+ years. She currently coaches private high-end adult ski lessons through the Red Fall Line Sports. Her skiing competitive and coaching background paired with her physiotherapy expertise makes her a sought-after coach for many.

Though she is a busy, working mom, she still likes to get after it in the mountains and each year has a few personal goals to ski big peaks and technical lines. In the summer months, she loves biking, rock climbing, and hiking and enjoys sharing her passion for outdoor adventure with her family.
